Start with the pay basis
Ask whether pay is gross or net, hourly or monthly. Confirm the contract type, expected hours and additional-work pay rules. Do not build your whole budget around overtime that has not been confirmed.
Separate monthly and arrival costs
List housing, utilities, food, commuting, phone and other commitments as monthly costs. Separately allow for the ticket, luggage, any deposit and funds until first pay. Confirm in writing which costs the employer covers and which you cover.
Compare offers after costs
A higher rate does not always mean more disposable money. Compare the same hours, all deductions and housing conditions. Our calculator uses your own figures without presenting an example as a job offer.
