Describe tasks, not only a title
State headcount, workplace, tasks and required independence. Describe tools, machines and working conditions. Separate essential requirements from skills that can be taught after arrival. Include the communication language and induction plan.
The complete employment package
Explain contract type, base pay, working time and bonus conditions. Allocate responsibility for housing, transport and documents. For recruitment between countries, also identify the employing entity and procedures applicable at the destination.
Selection and schedule
Agree whether practical tests, technical interviews or employer participation in the sourcing country are needed. Separate selection timing from the lawful work start. Allow for documentation, administrative decisions and travel. These stages do not have one guaranteed duration across countries.
Practical preparation checklist
- Headcount and the actual staffing date.
- Detailed tasks, language requirements and assessment method.
- Pay, contract type and housing conditions.
- Employing entity and project country.
- Person responsible for decisions, documentation and induction.
An order for twenty production workers can describe very different needs. One business requires assembly with power tools; another needs packing and quality checks. Task details make suitable selection possible. For a larger project, discuss a pilot, induction review and how decisions on further groups will be made.
